The San Diego Force beat the Palm Springs Power 5-3 in Game one of the SCCBL Championship Series.

Doubles machine John Mauldin knocked in the first run with a double to right scoring Colby Schultz.  Ryan Mota scored Mauldin even though he grounded into a double play.

The Power would not score again until Brock Hale out of BYU pulled a homer over the left field wall.

Palm Springs threatened in the bottom of the ninth putting runners on first and second with two outs, but they could not get them home as Andrew Brown struck out to end the game.

Game two of the SCCBL Championship Series will move to Palm Springs Stadium on Saturday night. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05.
